The North Carolina Institutional Researchers are holding a conference at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Concord, NC (Charlotte area) on 24-26 March 2014.
Conference topics will include, but are not limited to: the role of IR in promoting student success, SACS reaffirmation, institutional accountability & assessment, data analysis, state/federal reporting, community/technical college issues, technology tools/techniques to enhance productivity.

After the Monday, March 24th IPEDS Workshop we will kick-off our conference that evening. Our kick-off event will be a panel discussion on Competency-based education and its impact on NC Higher Education. Distinguished members of the panel are as follows:

As you can see,we wanted to acquire a variety of higher education professionals to represent SACSCOC, public and private institutions, and the community college system to share in this discussion.
On Tuesday, March 25th we will begin the day with a variety of sessions offered by top professionals. These professionals, of course, will be members of our organization and sponsors. The Chancellor of the University of North Carolina Charlotte, Dr. Philip L. Dubois will be our luncheon speaker.
You provide professional development opportunities for your colleagues through your presentations, so please submit a proposal to present at the conference.

The conference registration fee is only $150 if received by February 24, 2014. If the early registration deadline is missed, the fee for the conference is $160.

Submit a Proposal
Please consider submit a proposal to present a paper, software demonstration, panel, work share or to conduct a workshop. We all have something – be it a formal paper, a great planning document, lessons learned during the SACS reaffirmation process, assessment strategies, and technical tips, etc. – that our colleagues will appreciate. Our collective efforts will make for another successful conference. Proposals are due by February 17, 2014.
We know that financial times are hard on our campuses these days. If your travel budget is tight this year, remember the Travel Grant program. Travel grant policies and a travel grant application form are available by following the latter links.
