Workshop 1: Building Resilience through Data Insights: A Hands on Workshop using Informer 5

Presented by Laura Boyles and Lindsey Tedder – Sunday, March 22, 2026 – 8:30am to 12:00pm (Windsor Ballroom)

This hands-on workshop will lead participants through the use of Informer 5 to turn data into actionable insights which reveal key patterns and strengthen institutional resilience. The session begins with an introduction and guided tour of Informer 5, followed by creating a basic dashboard using provided IPEDS data from multiple community colleges. Participants then build more advanced dashboards with their own IPEDS data to compare and analyze trends. The workshop concludes with a demonstration of integrating Colleague data into an Informer 5 dashboard. Attendees will gain practical experience building data sets, designing visualizations, and developing dashboards to support their institution.

Note: Informer 5 access is not provided by the presenters. Participants must have their own access credentials.
