Session Proposals
Thank you for your interest in submitting a session proposal for the 2026 NCAIR Conference. The NCAIR Conference is the annual conference designed specifically for North Carolina Association for Institutional Research (NCAIR) members and provides an opportunity for professionals in higher education to learn, connect, and share.
All sessions will be presented in person at the NCAIR Conference venue. There will be no hybrid or virtual options. All presenters must register for NCAIR Conference and plan to attend and present in person in Asheville, NC.
Presentation formats include pre-conference sessions, impact sessions, speaker sessions, panels, discussion groups, and posters. NCAIR membership is not a requirement to submit a proposal or to present at the NCAIR Conference. You may submit multiple proposals, but the number of sessions accepted per presenter will be limited to ensure a fair and balanced program.
Note: NCAIR Conference sessions are non-commercial. Sessions with the sole purpose of promoting or advertising a commercial product or service will not be accepted through this call for proposals.
Once you know what topic (or topics!) you’d like to share with your NCAIR colleagues, you’ll need to submit a formal proposal to be considered. Each proposal will be reviewed by the Proposals/Presentations Committee and presenters will be notified of selection shortly after the submission deadline.
The deadline to submit your proposals is December 22, 2025.
Submissions are accepted by completing the Session Proposal Form

About the Review Process
Proposals are assessed by NCAIR board members using a rubric that evaluates session quality and potential draw (interest or popularity). Proposals are then ranked based on reviewer ratings. Because there are usually more high-quality proposals than space available, additional screening is required to reduce the number of sessions and balance the overall program in terms of topics and sector representation. It is unfortunate, but space limitations usually mean that some high-quality sessions are not accepted.
